Abstract

Oklahoma State University developed a method to get the most out of existing metadata during the initial Rosetta ingestion process. To help automate efforts, the library created a program which takes metadata extracted from collections and combines it with a Rosetta CSV template, easily converting select fields into a CSV ingestion file. Dubbed RosCo, or Rosetta Converter, this program is especially helpful for complex objects, but also handles simple, as well. This presentation will highlight successes and challenges in the development of RosCo, including lessons learned. A demonstration of the program will also be highlighted.
