The session will be a case history of how we created a custom data warehousing/data mart reporting solution from Aleph data at Notre Dame using open source software. We will include an overview of the architecture, design and coding considerations as well as the data analysis and cleanup involved. We will also include an overview of the open source software utilized: Talend Open Studio (an open source ETL tool), SQuirreL (an open-source Java SQL Client program for any JDBC compliant database) for in-depth data analysis and Perl CGI as the reporting web front-end.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">Aleph</mods:classification><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8601">2009-05-08</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Conference or Workshop Item</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_228"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_228_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
