Boston College Libraries offer online requesting of books, articles, and book chapters directly through the ALEPH Catalog and through Your Account in the catalog. Requests include recalls of books on loan, requests for material in off-site collections and fee-based requests for desktop document delivery of articles and chapters from on-site collections. Most recently the libraries have implemented the ability to request a search for a missing book and a “report a returned loan” form in Your Account. This presentation will give an overview of each type of request, a brief history of the development of request functionality in conjunction with the initial implementation of ALEPH and a list of goals for the future of requests at the Boston College Libraries. </mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">Aleph</mods:classification><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8601">2008-08-01</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Conference or Workshop Item</mods:genre></mods:mods>
