Abstract
Some vendors cannot supply EDI invoices and staff at Harvard University have created a workaround so that electronic invoices are created without the need for EDI. For these vendors, when we receive and load MARC records, we create XML invoices based on the invoice and price data supplied in 9XX fields, bypassing the need for an EDI invoice. This session will review the process for creating the XML invoices, including the perl script used, and a discussion of both the pros and cons to using this workaround.
