Abstract
We will start with a recap of our last year’s Boston presentation, outlining our problems with dynamic authority control, the ue_08 and the consequences of setting all of our authority UPD fields to “Y”. The discussion will include how we identified ambiguous headings both across and within authority families and set only those UPD’s to “N”, resulting in the ability to avoid the “Haddock” problem.
We will explore current strategies dealing with dynamic authority control and workflow issues. The presentation will conclude with an overview of what we consider to be the major remaining authorities problems.
