Abstract
A library’s strategic plan can include major goals and objectives related to the development, use, and management of collections and content. Sometimes these goals are related directly to collections, for example, when shared print initiatives are being formed, and sometimes they are related indirectly, for example, when repurposing of space for public needs requires volumes to be moved offsite. When this happens library professionals need reliable data in order to make informed decisions throughout the planning and assessment process. This program will explore the methods used by one large academic library to leverage more fully the power of Alma Sets and Analytics to meet this strategic need. The presenters will share information about the library’s framework for increasing Alma-based expertise and experience throughout the organization, which includes developing mechanisms for collaboration, peer coaching, and learning a shared vocabulary.
