Abstract
Alma offers a wealth of features and functionality that can accommodate the largest research library. It can be intimidating as a smaller library or consortium to decide which workflow features in Alma will be most useful, and which may reduce efficiency by creating unnecessary steps or redundancies. This presentation will cover the following topics from the perspective of the small to mid-sized organization:
User Roles and User Management
Task Lists and Review Rules
Libraries and Circulation Desks
Work Orders
Acquisitions Configuration
Fulfillment Configuration
By configuring these areas of Alma to the maximum benefit of your smaller organization, your staff will be happier with fewer clicks, fewer steps and easier-to-use functionality. Make Alma work for you!
