Abstract
From time to time libraries need to "wrangle" Alma data for a variety of purposes. These can include setting up integrations with a financial or student information system, performing data cleanup, or creating reports that are otherwise not possible to do within Alma Analytics. Even without direct access to the Alma database there are still tools available for accomplishing this. In this presentation I will take a broad look at Alma's system tools such as publishing profiles, integration profiles, sets, normalization rules, integration rules, and system jobs which can be used to effectively meet data wrangling needs. I'll share some techniques and tips we employ for doing this safely. Please note that this presentation will not focus on the Alma APIs but rather on those built-in tools within the Alma interface.
