Abstract
libFX is a unique application for real-time visualizations of what users are clicking on in Summon results. These visualizations are generated using d3.js and include a Twitter-like display of citations, speed gauges, and other visualizations that allow you and your users to see what research is happening at that moment in the discovery layer. We assert that as the use of the library collection becomes increasingly hidden with print materials being moved out of main library buildings and collections management focused on purchasing more electronic resources, that the ability to view the use of the collection could be used to tell the story of libraries today and in the future.
