Abstract
BrowZine, developed by Third Iron, is widely used by libraries around the world, enabling researchers to browse, read and stay current with scholarly journals. Third Iron first released a suite of APIs in the summer 2017 that enabled BrowZine integration with Primo, providing researchers with a seamless way to toggle between article level searching and journal browsing. This initial integration won second place in the 2017 Primo Open Discovery Challenge.
In this session, Third Iron will present an update on API capabilities, including a demonstration of how libraries are using the BrowZine APIs in not only Primo, but now also Summon, ProQuest Electronic Journal Portal, plus other services such as VuFind. The discussion will include a review of the integration steps and planned future API development.
