Abstract
When WMU Libraries began investigating our options for migrating from a piecemeal combination of cloud and local hosted systems to a unified library services platform, we had no way of anticipating the transformational changes we would be able to implement to the structure and activities of technical services. Dramatic staffing changes, a library-wide reorganization, and the redistribution of work brought on by the migration created the perfect environment for a restructuring of responsibilities, workflows, and job descriptions. From managing record loads to administering the ILS and discovery layer, WMU's new Resource Management Department is achieving more with less staff than we could have predicted.
