Abstract
Libraries have been securing perpetual access rights (also known as post-cancellation access) to subscribed and purchased content for years. However, the issues of invoking perpetual rights may not be well understood or prepared for. The presenter will give an overview of perpetual access rights, library projects where perpetual access is important and dig into the potential problems surrounding perpetual access. She will also discuss perpetual access functionality in Alma and provide details of a once in a lifetime post-cancellation access determination project occuring at the University of Minnesota Libraries.
