Abstract
Demand for laptop checkout is high at Eastern Washington University where first generation students make up over 50 percent of the student body. Embracing the university’s strategic priority to serve these students, the library partnered with campus groups to establish a self-checkout laptop kiosk in a recently renovated student union building. The steps to partner with external stakeholders (student groups and kiosk vendor Laptops Anytime), and the details to configure Alma make for a fascinating study in taking Alma to the customer.
