Abstract
n late 2018, ProQuest announced the development of Rialto, a groundbreaking approach to unify selection and acquisition in academic libraries. Built on top of the Alma platform, Rialto will create a comprehensive marketplace with content from a variety of publishers and platforms to streamline a library’s purchasing workflow.
Rialto will give libraries:
Outcome-driven recommendations to predict usage and value of purchases
Analytics embedded in workflows for better decision-making
Comprehensive data for reporting back to faculty and other constituents
ProQuest is currently working with a group of well-known universities all over the world to develop Rialto. Join us for a first look at this unprecedented solution that will change the way libraries select and acquire content.
