Version 17 Functional Specification Review and Testing Teams
Charge:
Functional testing teams will be designated from
the Enhancement Groups members to react to functional specs from
Ex Libris regarding their proposed solutions, and pre-test the
programmed enhancements before the general release of the version.
Timetable:
Delivery of Version 17 Functional Specifications from Ex Libris:
October 2004
Formation of Teams: October 2004
Initial Review and Questions/Comments from Teams to Ex Libris:
November 15, 2004
Responses from Ex Libris and Final Sign-off by Teams: November
30, 2004
After approval of the functional specifications, Ex Libris will
program the developments into Version 17. As Version 17 is due
in January 2005, it is unlikely that any of the NAAUG-Approved
specifications will appear in the first release of the software.
A testing environment will be created by Ex Libris after the
developments are programmed into Version 17. The review teams
will then test the developments in a Version 17 test environment.
Once the teams have successfully tested the developments, final
sign-off of the developments will be granted by the Aleph Steering
Committee. The developments will then be added to a service pack
update to Version 17.
Timeline for development and testing of approved specifications:
Spring 2005 (exact dates to be determined jointly by NAAUG and
Ex Libris).
