The objectives of the interest group are:
- Be customer-driven in development of new X-Services for ALEPH.
- Enable customers to port local developments based on X-Server between versions with
The ALEPH X-Services Interest Group members will provide input in several ways:
- Evaluation of planned X-Server developments proposed by Ex Libris - how well Ex Libris' development plans 'fit' their own needs in terms of specific planned developments, timing, etc.
- Identification of additional desired X-Server developments for Ex Libris consideration, including 'use cases' for how these X-Services would be implemented.
- Beta testing and evaluation of new and enhanced X-Services.
- Recommendations on skills required to successfully work with the X-Server, etc. that enable Ex Libris to provide feedback to potential X-Server customers.
- Examples (URLs) of successful projects that use X-Services (including user presentations at conferences and case studies).
