Abstract
Ingrid Hsieh-Yee, Professor, School of Library and Information Science and Shanyun Zhang, Electronic Resources Librarian, Mullen Library, Catholic University of America.
We will report on a search simulation study that investigated how professional searchers and novice searchers interpret the operations of MetaLib. We will also highlight design issues related to federated searches and discuss strategies for preparing end users and future library information professionals to take advantage of federated search systems
