Abstract
Authority Control is one of the greatest challenges libraries face. Over time, names, subjects, series, and uniform title holdings become out of date and inaccurate. In Fall 2008, Texas Woman's University Library contracted with Backstage Library Works to clean up almost one million authority and bibliographic records. We will share our experiences going through this process from the planning stages to reloading the base file.
