Abstract
The technological landscape for libraries is changing around us: cloud solutions and open source; metadata standards evolution; legislative requirements on procurement and privacy; expectations for Google-like discovery. The need to adopt new systems and approaches is clear, but the paths are diverse. In a period of change and choice, institutions will need to be strategic in their approaches to both front-end and back-end platforms, likely examining aspects of doing their business differently. This session will explore questions and priorities that institutions should examine in local and global contexts when moving toward the future.
