Abstract
Attendees will hear about Syracuse University’s experiences implementing the Encore product as their NGO in conjunction withh their Voyager database, their exercises in data mapping and profile tinkering, the surprises they encountered connecting the two systems, the reactions, problems, and fixes to going live, and forming a successful working relationship with the vendor. Participants will be able to: identify potential issues they may encounter when using a non-ExLibris next generation OPAC with a Voyager database, assess and rate the suitability of Encore for their own library’s needs, and apply the lessons Syracuse University learned to their implementation.
