Abstract
Leadership of the State University Libraries of Florida (SULs) deemed unmediated borrowing a top priority. FCLA was tasked to “make it so” - but how? A project was undertaken to determine which platform, ILLiad or AlephILL, would support the service, dubbed “UBorrow”, with our locally-developed Mango patron interface as the front end. This presentation will focus on our experiences managing a two-fold project: the process within FCLA to configure and enhance UBorrow, with AlephILL as the backend, in response to our libraries’ needs; and the essential but less clear-cut process of building consensus among the SULs to move the project forward.
