Abstract
After several years of failed attempts, MIT placed dynamically conditional SFX buttons into Brief results list and Full record pages of our Aleph OPAC this past Fall, finally providing seamless off-campus access to our e-resources directly from the catalog. Learn how we surmounted several limitations of the OPAC, such as: placing buttons on pages only when appropriate and in locations of our choosing; handling multi-volume URLs; and using SFX for linking local URLs in tags other than 856. Hear about display changes we made to improve usability. Results of recent usability testing may also be discussed.
