Abstract
Anecdotal reports from our public services librarians suggest that searching within our new discovery system (Primo) is not as effective – for known items - as searching in our traditional catalog (Aleph). This project prepares a list of titles (from the MARC 245 field) for a randomly selected set of records and then compares the results searching these titles in Aleph using (1) title browse, (2) title keyword, and (3) general keyword with searching Primo using (1) my exact phrase in title, (2) my query words in title, and (3) my query words anywhere in the record.
