Abstract

The author conducted an analysis on one year's WebVoyage log files of one catalog system last year. The results indicated that the default search and limit options are used the most. However, it was not clear if this was because the default options happen to be”Keyword"and”all of these"which are similar to those widely used options in the popular search engines. This presentation will reveal the results found in the log analysis of two systems with different default settings.
